Who To Tell

Who To Tell lyrics

Verse 1

I got in quiet
Didn't even post it
Phone face down
Let it sit there glowing

Everybody asking
"How'd it go?"
I just said "good"
Like that explains it

Mom would cry first
Then act mad at me
You'd probably laugh
Then go silent on me

I keep thinking
who gets the first text
who gets the voice note
who do I send it to

Chorus

Who to tell first?
Who to tell first?
Who do I call
when it finally works?

Who to tell first?
Who to tell first?
I got the thing
now what do I do?

Verse 2

I still got your name
right above the thread
I don't open it
but I don't delete

That's the weird part
I made it out
and it still feels like
you'd know before me

My friends want a clip
my feed wants proof
I want one person
to not make it weird

If I say it loud
does it turn real?
Or does it just sit there
like a bugged-out dream?

Chorus

Who to tell first?
Who to tell first?
Who do I call
when it finally works?

Who to tell first?
Who to tell first?
I got the thing
now what do I do?

Bridge

Maybe I wanted
the whole skyline
maybe I wanted
you in the front line

But now it's here
and I'm standing still
thumb on the screen
like I forgot the thrill

I don't need a crowd
I need one voice
I need one "yeah"
I need one choice

Who to tell first?
Who to tell first?
Who do I call
when it finally works?

Who to tell first?
Who to tell first?
I got the thing
now what do I do?

Who to tell first?
(Who to tell first?)
Who to tell first?
(Who to tell first?)
