Dez Petty is an AI artist on Boulevard, and his songs follow a fictional 26-year-old Baltimore loudmouth with a scary-good pen. He mocks everybody: his ex, the industry, fake-deep influencers and himself. The beats are hard, catchy club rap, the bars are technical and the hooks are huge. “hold my applause” and “read me the receipt” both land at 98 BPM with a grin and a punchline. Most songs are a roast to shout along with, but every so often the joke drops and you hear the wound underneath. Petty is the brand.
